הסרט מתאר את סיפורו של עמי אנקלביץ', אמן אנימציה ששוקל 18 ק"ג ומזיז רק אצבע אחת בכף ידו, באמצעותה הוא יוצר סרטי אנימציה המשובצים לאורך הסרט. עמי יוצא למסע חזרה למולדתו ארה"ב ומתעד חיפוש אחרי הרופא שלא נתן לו סיכוי לחיות.
בתום הקרנת הסרט יתקיים מפגש עם אסף שאול מפיק ואחד ממשתתפי הסרט.
