גדי הוא ילד-איש עם פיגור קל, בעל חוש הומור ייחודי, צחוק מתגלגל ואופטימיות אין סופית. מותה הפתאומי של אמו מאלץ את גדי לעבור באופן זמני אל אביו הביולוגי, ראובן, ממנו היה מנותק רוב חייו. ראובן, השקוע בבעיות חייו שלו, תמיד נרתע ממפגשים עם בנו יוצא הדופן. אבל האהבה החבויה בין האב לבן נחשפת, נבנית ומתעצמת במהלך ההכרות המחודשת
