רוני צוחקת ושרה. היא מסתובבת בסחרחרה, רוקדת עם סבא, רוכבת על הכתפיים של אבא. לפעמים היא שמחה ולפעמים היא עצובה. לפעמים היא מצליחה במה שהיא עושה , ולפעמים לא. לכאורה, אין שום הבדל בין רוני לבין ילדים אחרים... רוני צוחקת הוא ספר מדהים בבחירה הפשוטה והמדויקת של מילים וציורים, המתארים את אחד הנושאים המורכבים המלווים אותנו כל חיינו. האומנם אין שום הבדל בין רוני לבין רוב הילדים שאנחנו מכירים? ואם כן, איזו משמעות יש להבדל הזה בחייה של רוני - אם בכלל?!
