"בנצי" הוא פיל צבעוני, שחי בתוך עדר של פילים אפורים. בהתאם לצבעים העליזים שלו, בנצי הוא גם מצחיק ושמח. כל הפילים מאוד אוהבים להיות בחברתו, אבל הוא מרגיש שונה ומנסה להידמות לשאר הפילים. לשם כך הוא מתרחק מהעדר ומחפש דרך לצבוע את עצמו באפור, שלא יזהו את השוני שלו. . . .
